The third Return to Tuscany
Its 6.30am and we are about to start our journey to Tuscany to teach at Le Rotelle for the third time over July. I am leaving the grey drizzling skies of London for the Tuscan sun. It will take us four days to get there as we are driving down and making a few stops to make travelling with two small active boys as painless as possible! Can’t wait to get there, to unpack and go to the market for the fruit, vegetables and cheeses. Even our children know that there will be juicy greengages, watermelons and figs to enjoy that we don’t have here. Will write more from Tuscany.

In spite of my Italian surname, I am writing from Sweden. My high-light of the week is”Return to Tuscany” every Wednesday (on telly) and am counting the hours to take-off. I too have my roots in the Valdichiana region and can almost smell the porchetta, the garlic and the rosemary when I see the markets and the venues in the tv-show. And soon, I’ll be there, preparing two wedding parties, trying my best to please my father when cooking dinner on the slow stoves of his house (can never beat la nonna, but I’m slowly learning), enjoying life at its best. It pleases me so much to see other people “living” Italy while taking cooking classes, and I admire your strength and energy when taking on this course for a third season. It would be lovely to participate… can one apply from Sweden?

Dear Maria
Hope the weddings went well. We are now at the end of our last course in Tuscany on the last day and it is quite sad. We will back back in this hotel or another venue next year and of course you can join in from Sweden. This year we have had guests from Australia, Canada and South Africa.
Hope we will see you then.

I absolutely love your program. I am from Australia and stayed in the region you are in, for a week. Loved Montepulciano - dined there. Loved seeing your marriage take place.
In the future a friend and I would love to attend your cookery class in Tuscany - could we have some details about same.
I would love to change lifestyles with you - the markets and the cooking classes are second to none, not to mention the friendliness of the Italians towards us ‘down under’ subjects. Was the best holiday of my life. Good luck

I pray that you and Giancarlo run another course next year.
Your hearts are SO much in Tuscany it would be a sin if you did not go back and mix/ support your lovely family there.

Will you be hosting another course in Italy this year?
We are planning a trip to Tuscany in July and would love it if we could attend your cookery class.
Thanks

We are working really hard to get some courses together in Tuscany this year, not having a base there makes it difficult but as soon as we have some news we will put the details on the website. We are looking at two places for July and/or October. Watch this space!
